Bentley Flying Spur First Edition, twelve months of production of a jewel on wheels

Bentley launches the new generation of the Bentley Flying Spur First Edition and to celebrate it, it will have a special launch edition that will begin production at the end of this year. There will be no exact number of this special edition; instead, it will be in production for 12 months exactly, and when that period ends, production will stop.

The first Bentley Flying Spur First Edition will be auctioned for charity, so it will make headlines not only for being one of the most impressive luxury cars to appear over these months, but also for its social commitment. A very British car, which will also be auctioned in favour of a very British institution, the AIDS Foundation Gala, chaired by Sir Elton John.

To distinguish this special edition from the regular model, there are several elements that reinforce the personal style of this variant. For example, it has a British flag with the number 1 at its centre, located on the C-pillar. There is also a plaque on the door sills bearing the name of the special edition. The badge is also present next to the front passenger’s air vents, so everything is designed to make it easy to identify.

On the exterior, another point of attention is the 22-inch Mulliner Driving Specification alloy wheels, which give it a spectacular look. Inside, it is equipped with an ambient lighting system with many colour combinations, a panoramic sunroof and electronically operated privacy blinds that offer good privacy to the occupants of the car.

Engine and technology

The technological equipment of the Bentley Flying Spur First Edition is more than complete. The driver will have at their disposal a good list of driver assistance technology such as night vision cameras, adaptive cruise control with traffic jam assist and lane assist, among other interesting features that offer greater safety for the occupants of the car.

Regarding the engine, we find the same unit used by the regular model. It is a 6.0-litre W12 engine that delivers 635 CV and a maximum torque of 900 Nm, paired with an ZF 8-speed automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive. The top speed of this model is 333 km/h, and it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds.
