Wolfgang Schreiber, CEO of Bentley, has stated the intention of having in its model range a four-door Continental GT, that is, a saloon-coupé that would reach the market with the sole aim of competing with the BMW 6 Series Gran Coupé, the Aston Martin Rapide and, to a lesser extent, the Audi A7 Sportback and the Mercedes-Benz CLS.

This unusual sports car would reach dealerships in 2016 and would help achieve the figure of 15,000 units sold annually in 2018. During 2012, Bentley registered a total of 8,510 cars. The SUV will also be of great importance in reaching these targets.

With the future arrival of the Bentley Continental GT Gran Coupé, not only is an increase in the brand’s sales expected, but also to project an image of modernity and sportiness, something the brand has been striving for in recent years.

Schreiber stated: “At this moment our attention is focused largely on the SUV, because we know the market is there.” The EXP 9 F has been completely redesigned and, according to the brand, more than 2,000 orders have already been placed. The first units will be delivered to their respective customers at the beginning of 2015.
