Bentley stronger than ever with the new Flying Spur about to be unveiled
Bentley is about to present the new Flying Spur, a model that will continue to exude luxury, exclusivity and elegance from every angle.

We live in an era in which even the most prestigious brands in the world turn to the much-acclaimed SUV segment, which is gradually absorbing the saloon and MPV segments. However, today there are also manufacturers that have managed to find the perfect balance so that every segment can coexist in peace and harmony, something that Bentley demonstrates. The English firm has just hinted at the arrival of the next generation of the Flying Spur, a luxury saloon set to revolutionise the automotive sector and to share the production line with the Bentayga.
This name was first used by Bentley in 2005 to refer to the four-door version of the acclaimed Continental GT. In this way, the English brand managed to adapt the luxury, elegance and exclusivity of its quintessential coupé to a large saloon, ready to offer the same level but seasoned with the practicality that a vehicle with two extra doors and more space is capable of providing.
An imposing yet elegant silhouette
For now, Bentley has chosen to keep the intrigue until the very last moment, which is why we have only been given a glimpse of the future Flying Spur in the shadows. From this image, we can make out a series of features that reveal the silhouette of the British saloon, which will have drawn on the same canons used to shape the latest generation of the Continental GT.

With this premise, we can expect an imposing front end dominated by a chrome grille and four spherical headlights as its signature feature. At the same time, and thanks to this video, we can see how the brand’s emblem hides in its compartment at the driver’s will, allowing the imposing “B” to unfold, gleaming above everything else.
At the same time, the rear will feature tail lights of a similar design to those found on the latest additions to Bentley, and the same will happen with the cabin. Inside, besides luxury and exclusivity, there will also be a breath of technological advancement thanks to the digital instrument panel and a new screen that will retract to make way for a premium-quality wood panel.
An endangered engine
Bentley has always been characterised by using engines that match the level of quality and exclusivity its models offer. In this way, it is customary for the British firm’s offspring to use mechanical layouts in a “W” configuration with 12 cylinders, a configuration that is now endangered.

Given the close kinship between the Continental GT and the Flying Spur, it would not be far-fetched to expect the latter to use the 6.0-litre W12 capable of producing 635 CV and 900 Nm of torque. In this way Bentley would be offering with its saloon a perfect balance between sportiness, safety and comfort, three traits that have always been present in the Flying Spur and that will be accentuated with this latest and imminent generation.
