Black Edition series for the Qashqai and X-Trail

Nissan makes its debut at the newly opened Madrid Motor Show with a limited edition of its segment C and D SUV models. Their names are Nissan Qashqai Black Edition and Nissan X-Trail Black Edition.
This Black Edition series, which is based on the comprehensive Tekna trim, is specific to the European market and, in total, only 1,360 units will be sold. Of those 1,360, 300 units will reach the Spanish market, 200 of them the Qashqai model and the remaining 100 the larger SUV, the Nissan X-Trail.
If these Black Edition versions of the Qashqai and X-Trail stand out visually, it is, as the name suggests, because of the color black; although, strange as it may seem, we can also choose white for the bodywork. The wheels are 19-inch finished in black, and there are lower body protectors that add a rugged touch.

The interior features black leather upholstery (except on the X-Trail with black exterior color, which uses beige leather), metallic door sill trims bearing the Black Edition inscription, and a plate with the number of the individual unit.
Mechanically, both models are paired with the 1.6 dCi 130 hp engine. On the Qashqai it can be combined with front-wheel drive and a six-speed manual gearbox or the X-Tronic automatic gearbox, as well as 4×4 traction with a manual gearbox. On the larger SUV, the 1.6 dCi is offered with front-wheel drive and a manual or X-Tronic gearbox.
As for the equipment, both versions include a parking assistant, bi-LED headlights, a sunroof, a 7-inch infotainment system with navigation, and a multitude of smartphone-linked applications. The brand’s well-known Intelligent Safety Shield is also included, with assistants such as lane departure warning, automatic high beams, traffic sign recognition, blind spot monitoring and the standout 360-degree camera, among others.
These limited editions, with their comprehensive equipment, cost 600 euros more on the Qashqai than the starting Tekna trim, and 800 euros more in the case of the X-Trail. Thus, the segment C-SUV model is priced at 28,295 euros and the D-SUV at 31,375 euros; both prices include discounts already applied.
