BMW 760Li 25 Years Edition, recalling the old V12
BMW will offer a limited edition of its 760Li in the United States to commemorate 25 years of its V12.

In 1987, exactly 25 years ago, BMW took a major step by becoming the first premium car manufacturer to launch a luxury saloon with a V12 engine, the 750iL E32, which was soon followed by the 850i, offering a naturally aspirated V12 paired with a six-speed manual gearbox.
Back then, that old twelve-cylinder engine had a displacement of 5.0 litres and was capable of delivering 300 CV at 5,200 rpm and a maximum torque of 450 Nm at 4,100 rpm. Times have changed, and now, to celebrate the fitting of a V12 in the 7 Series, the Bavarian brand is launching the 760Li 25 Years Edition.
Luxury, refinement and power. These are the three key words to describe this edition of the German flagship.

Only 15 units will be built, and these will be shipped directly to the United States at a price exceeding 165,000 dollars.
On the outside, the 15 cars are painted in the Individual Citrine Black Metallic exterior finish and will fit 20-inch light-alloy wheels. Inside, the 25th anniversary edition is fully upholstered in Merino leather with black piping exclusive to this model. Furthermore, the black floor mats and rear footrests complete the contrast with the cabin’s luxury.
Under the bonnet is the current 6.0-litre V12, twin-turbocharged as the brand usually uses. Its more than 540 CV of power, combined with an eight-speed automatic gearbox, allows this beast to go from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds. Its top speed is electronically limited.
