BMW M4 Cabrio: open-air driving pleasure

BMW has unveiled the latest addition to the ///M range. This is the M4 Cabrio, one of the most exclusive and appealing vehicles from the German manufacturer.
This sports car aims to combine, in a single car, the performance and dynamics of a true ///M with the design and elegance of a convertible.
It takes just 20 seconds for the M4 Cabrio to switch from coupé to convertible, and vice versa. This operation can be carried out on the move at speeds of up to 18 km/h, and the hardtop folds into the boot without any mechanical intervention from the driver, who only needs to press a button.

The exterior appearance remains imposing, as befits an ///M. The M4 Cabrio features wider bodywork which, combined with more aggressive bumpers, a redesigned exhaust system and large alloy wheels revealing a substantial set of fixed-caliper brakes, gives it a truly eye-catching look.

The interior is practically identical to that of the M4 Coupé. The most obvious change is found in the seats, which now feature neck-level air ventilation and heating.
As for the technical side, the M4 shares its powertrain with the M3 and M4 Coupé, meaning that under the large bulging bonnet we find a 3-litre, six-cylinder inline engine which, thanks to twin-turbo forced induction, produces 430 CV and 550 Nm.

Paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, the M4 Cabrio accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds, reaching an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h. It can be equipped with the same options as its hardtop sibling, such as the ///M electronic differential, carbon-ceramic brakes or adaptive suspension.
