BMW M5 F10, 0-100 km/h in under 4 seconds

The new BMW M5 officially needs 4.4 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h, a time that did not satisfy many of its fervent followers. It was somewhat high for a car with 580 CV, and it did not clearly stand out from its closest rivals.
This news will ease their pain a little, since Car & Driver has timed a 0 to 96 km/h (0-60 mph) run in 3.7 seconds, so it is very likely that it reached 100 km/h before 4 seconds (or shortly after).
In this way, the M5 stands above any of its competitors, Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG Performance Pack.
These results do not seem to have surprised much in the world of BMW, since the German brand is known for quoting acceleration figures that are higher than what its cars can actually achieve. In this way, its models stand out in tests for performance that is higher than expected.
