BMW to unveil new M Performance accessories at SEMA
BMW could not miss an event like SEMA, where it will be presenting numerous parts from its M Performance department to turn your BMW M into a true circuit-devouring machine. In addition, among other models, it will show a special build based on a 740e.

Just before the Speciality Equipment Market Association, better known as SEMA, opens its doors for a new edition, BMW has announced it will be showing novelties there. All of them will be tasty treats signed by BMW M Performance that will delight, in particular, owners of the BMW M3 and M4.
While every BMW M model already offers a unique driving experience, these new upgrades aim to make your BMW as close as possible to a track car from the Germans. We’ll start with an aesthetic and aerodynamic touch: the new rear spoiler for the BMW M3, made entirely of carbon fibre. By entirely we mean that even the bases and side sections are also carbon. It will be available to buy in mid-2017.
Next, a suspension that, in contrast to the red coil springs, will be height-adjustable between 5 and 20 MM depending on whether you are using the car on a circuit or on an open road. It will be available for the BMW M3 and M4. Also, with track use in mind, we will offer new matte black lightweight alloy wheels derived directly from competition, fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres. These new wheels will be available from summer 2017 for the M2, M3 and M4.

All of this will be complemented by new cosmetic details, designed to convey an even greater racing spirit, although the value of all these parts plus that of the car could almost get you a racing car outright. For example, you will be able to fit a hand-crafted carbon fibre engine cover, or also add carbon fibre or Alcantara leather to elements such as the handbrake, the steering wheel or the trim.
Finally, for the American market, the power and sound kit is being presented, which is already available in Germany for the 340i and 440i. This kit modifies the engine software and the electronic control of the exhaust valve, which translates into a power increase for the 3,000 cc, 6-cylinder engine of 35 CV, as well as acceleration to 100 km/h that is 0.2 seconds quicker.

Beyond the novelties within the M models, the option of remote-control starting will also be presented, which, initially, will be available for the BMW 5 Series (F10), X5 and X6. With this system the vehicle can be started from the key itself and, if it is not moved within 20 minutes, it will switch off automatically. Also, on the BMW stand there will be an M2 Safety Car, an M3, an X5, a customised 340i with M Performance accessories and a special SEMA build of a 740e xDrive iPerformance finished in BMW Individual Frozen Black Metallic paint with M Performance accessories.
