BMW X2 M35i: the M version of the most dynamic urban SUV arrives
The BMW X2 debuts an even sportier version: the BMW X2 M35i. The SUV incorporates improvements to the chassis, propulsion system and changes to its design.
The BMW X2 is one of the crossovers with the best reception of 2018. The urban SUV from BMW stands out for its dynamic design, and now arrives in an even sportier version developed by the M Performance division: the BMW X2 M35i. The most performance-oriented and dynamic version of the BMW X2 will begin production from November 2018; in Spain we will have to wait until March 2018 to see it on the roads.
Design changes: more sportiness for the BMW X2

The German SUV features wider kidney grilles in this version. In addition, the edges of the cooling air intakes and the mirror housings have a Cerium Grey finish specific to this variant. At the rear we find an M rear spoiler and a twin exhaust outlet finished in the aforementioned Cerium Grey tone.

Improved performance: 306 CV and 450 Nm
The new BMW X2 M35i features a turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine that develops 306 CV of power and 450 Nm of torque. It is the first four-cylinder engine developed by M Performance to debut in this model.

The sportiest version of the SUV comes as standard with intelligent all-wheel drive BMW xDrive, a system paired with an 8-speed Steptronic automatic gearbox that includes Launch Control. The car also has an M sport differential (limited-slip) on the front axle; this system reduces the possible loss of traction the car suffers under dynamic driving.
Thanks to all of the above, the BMW X2 M35i is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds.
Chassis improved by M Performance

The car comes as standard with an M sport suspension with a stiffer damper setup. In addition, this suspension lowers the vehicle’s height by a few centimetres.

The SUV also includes an M sport braking system with dark blue calipers and 18-inch steel discs at the front and 17-inch at the rear. This system ensures short, consistent braking distances.

Inside, the standout feature is the front M sport seats (optional), the M Sport leather steering wheel with shift paddles, and the entry sill trims with the “M35i” lettering.
