New BMW X5 xDrive45e iPerformance: outstanding power and electric technology
The new BMW X5 xDrive45e iPerformance uses hybrid technology to deliver an electrifying driving experience. 394 CV and a range of 80 km on electric power alone are among its main attractions.
BMW embraces hybrid technology in its new model BMW X5 xDrive45e iPerformance. Available on the market in 2019, this new BMW features a plug-in hybrid system .

Today, since electric technology is still in its early stages of application, opting for hybrid technology could be your best choice, as it combines the best of both worlds and avoids the long charging times of a 100% electric car.
A winning combination of petrol and electricity
The new BMW X5 xDrive45e iPerformance combines an engine specific to this model. On one side, it has a 6-cylinder in-line petrol unit that combines BMW TwinPower Turbo technology with the latest BMW eDrive technology.
Thanks to constant progress in plug-in hybrid propulsion, it has increased its output to a total of 394 CV, a notable improvement in electric propulsion and an outstanding reduction in fuel consumption.

In addition, this new model fully complies with the new European regulations on pollution and environmental protection, producing CO2 emission levels that are impeccable compared with its predecessor.
Powerful and enjoyable driving
The second generation of the plug-in hybrid model combines the driving pleasure of purely electric propulsion from an BMW iPerformance with the versatility typical of a Sports Activity Vehicle.
This combination means the new BMW X5 xDrive45e iPerformance offers optimal qualities in terms of dynamics and driving efficiency.

It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in a total of 5.6 seconds, one second faster than its predecessor. The maximum speed its electric motor delivers is 140 km/h, and its range reaches 80 kilometres, tripling the capacity of its predecessor.
Impressive consumption figures while respecting the environment
The combined fuel consumption of the new BMW X5 xDrive45e iPerformance reaches an impressive 2.1 litres per 100 kilometres. The CO2 emissions figure is now 49 grams per kilometre.
These figures are the result of a completely new propulsion technology recently developed. It features a 3.0-litre 6-cylinder in-line engine producing 286 CV, which belongs to the current BMW EfficientDynamics family and the latest generation of BMW eDrive technology.

The output of its electric system generates 112 CV thanks to its lithium-ion battery with extended storage capacity and propulsion electronics developed for intelligent energy management, delivering unique performance characteristics.
It features an ultra-modern 8-speed Steptronic gearbox and an intelligent BMWxDrive all-wheel-drive system. Thanks to this, torque is transferred to all four wheels, even when driving on electric power alone or using both sources at once.
It comes as standard with two-axle air suspension and electronically controlled dampers. Optional suspension systems available for the plug-in hybrid model include integral active steering.

Without a doubt, the new BMW X5 xDrive45e iPerformance is a great purchase choice for any driver who wants the latest technology without giving up the classic character of the combustion engine.
