Bugatti Project Lydia, new project from Bugatti?

Nothing has been confirmed yet, so this may be true or just a guess; we will have to wait and see if more news comes out. The German magazine Auto Motor Und Sport claims that Bugatti is working on a new project and that, according to them, it is called Bugatti Project Lydia.

If it becomes a reality, it would take from the Veyron the idea of its design, its W16 engine and, at most, the chassis. The powertrain would be boosted to reach around 1,175 horsepower, which is hair-raising, and this model would also be homologated only for competition, since if we look at the sketches, we can see parts that only a track-built model could afford.

It would be a two-seater with a design clearly inspired by the Audi R10 race car and the Bugatti Veyron. Only 75 units of this missile in every sense of the word would be built, and they would be sold at a price most mortals will never be able to pay: if the Veyron was a car that cost a fortune, this one would leave it in the shade with its price of 2 million euros.

What would the owner of this car say? “Look, people who have a Ferrari FXX, a Maserati MC12 Corsa, a Pagani Zonda R… I’ll run them over with ease!”
