Burgos adds two Dongfeng DFSK 580 Luxury to the Local Police fleet

The arrival of new brands is always a complicated affair. Positioning yourself in a market as competitive as the automotive one is difficult, and the necessary features must be put on the table so that buyers take notice of these new cars. But some manage it more easily, and we have already seen how Burgos Local Police has added two units of the Dongfeng DFSK 580 Luxury to its fleet, from a brand that has just arrived in our country.

We already knew that this Chinese model had been on sale in Spain for almost a year, but it is not managing to establish itself efficiently in our market. That does not mean it is not succeeding, however, but rather that it is selling slowly and gradually gaining ground with steady progress.

Two SUV versions for the police

The DFSK 580 Luxury is a seven-seat SUV that has been adapted for use as a police car. The Burgos Local Police has included two units of this car for its good interior space, its automatic gearbox, which makes urban patrols more comfortable and, above all, for its use of LPG as fuel, which helps to reduce the environmental impact in the city.

These two vehicles will be used for the typical duties of local law enforcement, so they will be present in the various operations carried out by the Burgos Local Police on a day-to-day basis. Both cars have been fitted with all the signage corresponding to Burgos police vehicles, so they are identical to the rest of the vehicles serving in the city.

Features of the DFSK 580 Luxury

The Dongfeng 580 DFSK Luxury uses a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine, which delivers 146 CV, enough to fulfil its duties with ease. As for fuel, it runs on either petrol or LPG interchangeably, so using this alternative fuel considerably reduces consumption, making it very suitable for urban service without sacrificing efficiency.

It retains the standard equipment, which includes an 11-inch multimedia screen, a rear-view camera, a windscreen-mounted camera that records everything happening in front of the car, a panoramic sunroof and a multifunction steering wheel, all of which help to improve the driving experience.

The Dongfeng 580 Luxury has a starting price of 23,995 euros, although there is a higher-spec version, the 580 Intelligent, which starts at 25,995 euros.
