Cadillac unveils the "concept car" Ciel in this clip from the film Entourage

We have already commented several times that the film industry and the car industry are very closely linked and that each feeds off the other, above all in terms of promotion. Spectacular models that are not yet on the market appear in films, or cars that do not yet exist appear outright, or concept studies that will never see the light of day or reach the production line. Car advertisements often use the actors, or even the characters, from the film in which the car in question appears.
The case we look at today brings us the film adaptation of one of the best television series of recent times (always, of course, in my humble opinion), which aired on HBO and told the story of a Hollywood superstar and his circle of friends in the tough jungle that is Los Angeles. Entourage, known in Spain as El Séquito, and one of its characters, Ari Gold, is the protagonist of this clip, which is sponsored by Cadillac and presents the Ciel concept car.
This scene is taken from the film, where Jeremy Piven’s character is retired in Italy with his wife. Bored, during a meal on a terrace, he sees the spectacular Cadillac Ciel and decides to chase it down to get his hands on it. Eventually he gets to drive it, but there’s no need to say more, so let’s leave you to watch the scene and enjoy this concept from the American brand.

This concept car was presented at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in 2011 and represents a hybrid Cadillac equipped with a 3.6-litre twin-turbo V6 engine producing 426 CV. The hybrid system works through a lithium-ion battery. The exterior has also been given special attention: its spectacular bonnet is joined by French-style doors, also known as suicide doors, which open towards each other from the centre of the car.
The car is not scheduled for production and will not be seen on the roads beyond this film and the events where Cadillac wants to show it off. For this reason, this film will be the main showcase for this model, which is why we should take our time admiring it.
