Can-Am bets on electric mobility with the launch of two new motorcycles
After almost 40 years, Can-Am is once again adding a pair of motorcycles to its product lineup, which in this case stand out for being fully electric as well.
The Canadian company Bombardier Recreational Products (BRP) has just given a new boost to the commercial strategy of its Can-Am brand with the market launch of two new electric motorcycle models. These are the Can-Am Pulse and the Can-Am Origin, both already available for reservation.
In 2022 BRP announced its intention to turn Can-Am into a brand specialized in electric motorcycles, and this year that vision has finally become a reality. Production of these two motorcycles will begin in the fourth quarter of 2024, with deliveries expected in early 2025.

The Can-Am Pulse is designed for the urban pace of life, while the Can-Am Origin has a much more adventurous spirit beyond the city limits. Both motorcycles are equipped with the new Rotax E-Power motor, with power outputs of 11 kW or 35 kW, which comes with an 8.9 kWh battery pack that can be charged from 20 to 80 percent in less than an hour.
Both models also feature a liquid cooling system covering the battery, charger, inverter and motor. This system significantly reduces degradation of the battery pack while optimizing range and the time needed to complete a charge. In this way, the Can-Am Pulse can travel up to 160 kilometers in urban traffic and the Can-Am Origin up to 145 kilometers.
Some additional aspects of these new Can-Am electric motorcycles
The Can-Am Pulse can be described as a naked bike, ideal for daily use and urban travel. Among its most notable features are its 10.25-inch touchscreen that supports Apple CarPlay, and its KYB suspension with 140 mm of travel, which offers a more sporty feel. It also has four riding modes -Normal, Sport+, ECO and Rain-.

The Can-Am Origin, for its part, shares advanced active regeneration technologies and connectivity with the Pulse model. Its high ground clearance and KYB suspension with 255 mm of front travel and rear adjustment allow riders to confidently tackle unpaved roads with this motorcycle. Its two additional riding modes Off-Road and Off-Road+ also contribute to this.
As we have already mentioned, both models can now be reserved at selected BRP dealers in France, Germany, Spain, the United Kingdom, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Austria, the United States and Canada.
