Can the Suzuki Jimny become a "mini" G-Class?
The Suzuki Jimny receives a spectacular design package from British tuner Liberty Walk.
If you’re looking for a pure off-roader, it’s hard to find a vehicle with better value for money than the new Suzuki Jimny. However, many people who want to be able to head into the countryside also value their vehicle offering an exclusive design that attracts attention… and that’s where the Mercedes G-Class stands as the king of the class. Although comparing these two vehicles is somewhat ridiculous given the vast price difference between them (more than 100,000 euros separate them), it is true that the Suzuki Jimny offers off-road capabilities very similar to those of a G-Class, but the presence of the former is still a long way from that of the latter. Fortunately, tuning company Liberty Walk has evened the playing field more than ever.

Mercedes G-Class and Suzuki Jimny in its own image and likeness
Shortly after the new Suzuki Jimny was unveiled, the British tuner got to work giving the Japanese off-roader a facelift, a design kit inspired by the Mercedes G-Class that has turned it into an identical copy of the premium off-roader. After months of preparation, the tuning company has revealed the result of its masterpiece… and it’s even better than we could have imagined.

The reality is that looking at these images revealed by Liberty Walk, it’s hard to find major differences between the Suzuki Jimny and the Mercedes G-Class. If we showed these images to someone unfamiliar with car culture, they would probably mistake the Jimny for a G-Class.

It’s hard to feel more affection for one of the few pure off-roaders on the market. The Suzuki Jimny is one of those cars that remains faithful to its origins, a car that has not been affected by the “SUV craze” and now gains ground with this spectacular Liberty Walk design package.
