Chevrolet lets us see the engine of the Camaro Z28
The future may hold a lot for Chevrolet Camaro Z28, but even more is what General Motors wants to keep hidden from the public for now, of course until the official unveiling of a vehicle as iconic as the Camaro Z28.
Among the most closely guarded details, perhaps the most noteworthy is the mechanical setup of this asphalt beast, which has been revealed thanks to new spy photos taken by Camaro5.com showing a test mule of this version with its hood open.
As you can see in the photos, we are looking at a massive supercharged LSA 6.2 V8 which, for those who don’t know, is exactly the same unit currently powering the aggressive Cadillac CTS-V, that is, a huge 6.2-litre V8 capable of producing a maximum output of 556 hp with a torque of 747 Nm.
Additionally, as you can see in the photos, the Z28 will apparently be distinguished from the rest of the family by a new hood with two central air intakes, although I must also tell you that several prototypes have already been spotted with alternative designs, which leaves us wondering which one will be chosen.
Finally, General Motors expects to sell this model mainly in the United States but, given the international expansion the group is pursuing, it is very likely that in the near future we will see this model on European roads alongside the base model, though at a very high price.
