Chevrolet will unveil the Impala Blackout in 2015

Chevrolet presented the SEMA 2014 a concept model it called the Impala Blackout, a car that impressed with the darkness of its design and the imposing nature of its look. Now, the brand has announced that this model is going into production and could reach its dealerships by mid next year. We are talking about an edition for the US market, of course, so we are not sure whether it will cross the Atlantic.
Black will be present in every corner of the car, as it is precisely the central theme of this model’s entire design. The Blackout look is based on the concept that was seen, and the production model is expected to have few differences from the prototype. In fact, many of the elements used on the concept are expected to remain available as accessories, so that anyone who wants can have a car as close as possible to the original model.
On the production model, the grille will feature a black border and the brand emblem in the centre, also in the same colour. The mirror housings are also painted the same colour, as is the rear spoiler. The 19-inch aluminium alloy wheels add more visual power and enhance that elegant yet sombre appearance.

Inside, as you can imagine, black is also the predominant colour in the design. The pedals have a sporty finish, and the car features many decorative details in silver, creating an elegant contrast to the overall look.
The engine that will power this model born from the SEMA is the same one used on the prototype, a 3.6-litre V6 engine capable of producing 305 CV and a maximum torque of 358 Nm. With this presence and the power of its engine, it will become a more than desirable option for many enthusiasts of cars of this kind. That said, the price of the model has not yet been announced, so buyers will have to wait before making plans.
