Chrysler presents its electric sports car Dodge

The North American company has not disappointed its followers with its electric proposals, and it also makes an impact with its production plans for 2010.
A couple of days ago, Chrysler announced the presentation of new concepts based on the Lotus platform, however it had fascinating surprises in store.
The first, and personally the most important, is that its electric technology can be adapted to any platform including FWD and AWD systems.
The second is its electric sports car called Dodge EV Lotus Concept, a two-seater whose power of approximately 268 hp will be sent to the rear wheels and would allow it to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in less than five seconds.
In addition, it has presented three electric concepts called Jeep EV electric SUV, Chrysler EV Town and Country EV Concept, which confirm the adaptability mentioned above.
The performance tests of the concepts approved for production will begin next year and, according to the company’s plans, the first fleet of electric cars should be presented in US showrooms in 2010, while the Old Continent would wait until 2011.
