AMI Citroen Electric Cars Urban
Citroën AMI, the 100% electric solution that doesn't require a driving licence
Citroën dares to think about an electric vehicle designed for urban electric mobility that can be driven without a driving licence

Electric mobility is important and is increasingly present in our cities. But it remains an expensive way to get around, given the price of electric cars, and personal mobility solutions are not exactly practical. For this reason, brands are looking for solutions to this problem. And thanks to Citroën, we now have the AMI, a car designed for everyone.
The Citroën AMI is an electric vehicle designed for getting around the city with one particular feature: the driver does not need a driving licence. It is a small car, an electric quadricycle that can get around the city and has a small battery that powers a motor that does not exceed 45 km/h.

A practical electric city car
The AMI is a small vehicle for two people with limited load capacity, designed to move comfortably around the city. It falls within the category of vehicles that don’t require a licence, and anyone over 16 years old in Europe can drive it without having to pass the driving test.

It has a 5.5 kWh lithium-ion battery, which can be charged from a domestic socket in just three hours. At full charge the Citroën AMI can travel up to 70 kilometres, enough for urban journeys. The AMI is 2.41 metres long, 1.39 metres wide and 1.52 metres high. It is available in only one body colour, grey, but it has customisable elements in several colours.
And best of all, this vehicle will cost only 6,900 euros. In addition to this purchase price, Citroën is offering a long-term rental option costing 19.95 euros per month, with a deposit of 2,644 euros. The Citroën AMI will be available in the second half of the year and will be sold online. And, fortunately, it will also arrive in Spain.
