The C1 is the entry-level model in the range of the French manufacturer Citroën. The small French city car now debuts a new edition called City Edition.

The French brand thus reaffirms its position on small city vehicles, an excellent choice for those seeking practicality and low running costs.

The first generation of the Citroën C1 went on sale in the mid-2000s, developed under an unprecedented collaboration agreement between PSA and Toyota, which gave rise to two more models, the Peugeot 108 and the Toyota Aygo which, like the Citroën, are now already in their second generation.

The C1 enjoys a very pleasant design, aimed mainly at a female audience that needs a practical and simple vehicle but does not want to give up other qualities such as styling, equipment or personalisation, areas in which the C1 scores highly.

The new City Edition special version has been developed with the C1’s favourite terrain precisely in mind: the city. It is available in three body colours – Scarlet Red, Lizipan White and Gallium Grey – and two roof tones, which allow 6 different combinations.

In terms of equipment, the C1 City Edition stands out for a complete specification that includes, among other items, an infotainment system with a touchscreen and Mirror Screen technology, which mirrors the smartphone screen in the vehicle for more comfortable and safer use.

It also features matching light grey upholstery called Wave Grey, which combines perfectly with the contrasting Jelly Berry stitching. In addition, Citroën fits leather steering wheel and rear-view camera as standard, an element that assists with parking manoeuvres and is quite unusual in its segment.

This City Edition will be available with the model’s two already known engines, a 1.0 VTi with 68 CV and a 1.2 PureTech with 82 CV, both three-cylinder. Although the images supplied by the brand show the three-door body, in our country only the five-door version can be purchased, priced at €11,950 for the 1.0 automatic ETG variant and €11,400 for the 1.2 PureTech version.
