Citroën C4 Aircross and Peugeot 4008

Just a few days ago, Citroën showed us a curious teaser in which we could only read Aircross, the name of a new model that has turned out to be Citroën’s version of the Mitsubishi ASX, perhaps one of the most competitive vehicles the Asian brand has on the market.

As might be expected, today we will not only be talking about the new C4 Aircross, but also about the variant belonging to Peugeot which, as is already customary with the French lion brand, will be called 4008. At least in this version, many more parts have been changed so that, although it fully retains the side profile, elements such as the front and rear have been completely modified.

Specifically, according to PSA, these new models have been created very much to European taste but with one goal in mind: to conquer other markets that are currently far more powerful, such as the Asian market, where they expect to sell more than 70% of the production of both vehicles.

As a point of interest, in Europe these models will mechanically be available only with the well-known 1.6-litre HDI engines from PSA, in both 112 hp and 140 hp versions. If you choose the Citroën model, these two engines will be joined by the 115 hp 1.6 petrol. As usual, depending on the version, they will be offered with front-wheel drive or 4WD, and paired with either a six-speed manual or automatic gearbox.
