Citroën DS3 Ecurie de Romeo Ferraris
Romeo Ferraris has recently unveiled its preparation of the Citroën DS3, a model that pays further tribute to the historic Citroën Chrono Visa of the 1980s.

Looking back at the tuner’s previous projects from Turin, most of its products have been Italian, with the exception of the Opel Insignia OPC. But now they are tackling a complete makeover of their Citroën DS3, presented at the Monza Rally Show.
It is not the first time someone has tried to recreate the Citroën Chrono Visa of the 1980s; other tuners have attempted it by recreating the colours of the most famous of the old Visas. Romeo Ferraris has equipped this DS3 with competition in mind, stripping out everything superfluous from the interior and adding two blue Sparco seats. The rear seat has been removed, leaving more room for fire extinguishers or simply a space to carry a helmet… just in case.

Performance has also been improved. The 1.6 engine now reaches 220 hp, 20 more than in the original DS3. The equipment is completed by OZ alloy wheels and an appealing colour scheme: white, with a blue roof and a black rear diffuser.
The result is a DS3 that looks a little meaner than the rest. The colour combination is not very eye-catching, and you have to look twice (well, depending on the angle you happen to view it from) to realise you are looking at something special. The only thing that doesn’t convince me much are the white wheels, a detail that will matter little to Romeo Ferraris customers.
