Clio turns 20

It seems unbelievable, but it’s true. The Renault Clio is celebrating a remarkable 20 years in production, with figures that are truly staggering: more than 10 million customers in over a hundred countries have chosen to buy this car, under the slogan “The small car with big car features”. It was the first vehicle in its segment to achieve four stars in the EuroNCAP crash test and later also a pioneer in achieving five stars. It has also been the only car in history to win the Car of the Year award twice.
To celebrate such an achievement, Renault has decided to launch a range of vehicles under the “20th” special edition, the twentieth in Spanish. They will be the Renault Clio three- and five-door Estate and a Clio Sport version. They will include representative elements such as the word 20th between the doors of the vehicle, or exclusive colours for the Clio Sport (white and a black in two shades).
The Renault Clio 20th edition will have advanced equipment, which will depend on the country where you buy it. It will feature air conditioning, cruise control, an MP3 player with Bluetooth and Plug & Music, which lets you make phone calls and listen to music from a USB pen drive. There will also be the option of fitting a TomTom Carminat navigation system. The engines will be the same: the 70 and 85 hp dCi, starting at €14,350 in France.
For the Sport version of the Clio, the car will have a white roof with a black two-tone finish for the rest of the body, as well as various other aesthetic additions, such as its exclusive 17″ alloy wheels. The 20th badge will be visible on the exterior, and the dashboard will be slightly different, with different tones in the interior. The interiors will also vary depending on the country, but they will be similar to the standard version. It will start at €24,700 in France.
