Compete on PS4 against the Audi drivers in the DTM

The official Audi driver, Mike Rockenfeller, is the creator of the virtual racing series on PS4 with the Audi e-tron Vision Gran Turismo.

Once a week, Audi fans and SimRacing professionals will compete against the six Audi drivers in the DTM. The funds raised will go to a charitable cause. The drivers taking part are: Loïc Duval, Jamie Green, Nico Müller, Robin Frijns, René Rast and the initiative’s originator, Mike Rockenfeller.

The 2013 DTM champion, Mike Rockenfeller, said at the presentation of this initiative that, with no real races due to the coronavirus crisis, what better way to fill the gap than with SimRacing. Under the hashtag #RaceHome, the initiative is based on electric sports cars, in line with the strategy set by Audi regarding sustainable mobility.

PS4 users only

The community reached through video games is enormous. We would say even bigger than that reached through real racing. For this reason, all owners of a PlayStation 4 and users of the PlayStation Network will have the opportunity to compete against the stars of Audi in the DTM.

Each week, participants will be able to take centre stage by developing and publishing their own setups for the Audi e-tron Vision Gran Turismo. The most creative designs will then be chosen as winners by a jury made up of the six Audi drivers mentioned above.

This initiative aims to raise as much funding as possible to allocate to charitable projects linked to the motorsport family. According to the driver, many people in this and many other sectors have lost their jobs overnight.

The broadcast of all races in the #RaceHome charity series can be followed live free of charge via a Twitch channel. It will be possible to bid for a place in the online competition once a week, and the first race will start next Tuesday, 21 April, at 8 p.m. local time.
