Cordon: the radar system that fines several vehicles at the same time
A new radar system that can fine several cars at the same time, across four lanes of traffic, has been unveiled. The system, called Cordon, is manufactured by Peak Gain Systems.

While a conventional portable or fixed radar can only catch one car at a time, Peak Gain Systems has unveiled a new radar system called Cordon, which can monitor up to four lanes of traffic at the same time.
The new radar identifies each of the vehicles within its range, assigning them colours according to the speed at which they are travelling. Those identified in red are the ones exceeding the limit; in yellow, those approaching it; and those in green are the ones complying with the limit. The radar can photograph the number plates of each of the vehicles at once.
The Cordon system has the advantage that it is compact and small enough to hide inside any traffic sign and go unnoticed.
It seems Peak Gain Systems will offer its new radar next year. If the DGT already fines vehicles that appear on road signs, don’t be surprised if it shows up in Spain very soon.
