Crash test in Russia: the Lada Laika and the Niva wipe out every dummy

It seems that a very varied set of crash tests was carried out in Russia, pitting older-design Russian cars such as the Laika against some representatives of the industry from China, Turkey and other former Soviet Union countries. The result is plenty of crumpled sheet metal, plenty of shattered glass, several dummies knocked out of action and zero stars for no fewer than 20 models.

The leader of the tests was (understandably) the Volkswagen Polo Sedan, which earned 14.3 of the 16 possible points, receiving four stars, the maximum rating. Behind the Polo came the Ford Focus, Renault Logan, Renault Symbol and the Daewoo Matiz. Now it was the turn of the Ladas… would you like to know how they fared in these tests, or can you already imagine it?

The Russian, Ukrainian and Chinese cars continued the streak of zero points, this time in spectacular fashion. In the Lada Laika, quite literally the poor dummies were massacred, and the same happened in the Niva. No further information is given about the rest of the cars, but I don’t think the result was any happier than in the case of the Russian vehicles.
