CUPRA Born put to the test at the Arctic Circle
The CUPRA Born has undergone several tests on the test tracks of Lapland, and in this video we can see it driving through snow and in extreme conditions.

One of the most demanding tests new models undergo is driving the vehicle over rough terrain and in extreme temperatures. European brands typically turn to Lapland, a country that offers precisely these kinds of conditions. The Lapland terrain forces vehicles to overcome tests more extreme than anywhere else. And that is where the CUPRA Born has been put to the test.
According to the brand, the CUPRA Born has been designed with nature in mind. Not the idyllic image of nature, but the nature made up of stone, wood and other elements that turn out to be more obstacles than aids when moving across open terrain. The unit that has driven along the Lapland track and that we can see in the video has been subjected to several tests over rough terrain and at low temperatures.

The colour chosen was not picked at random. It is Aurora Blue, which has important connections to the location where the video accompanying this article was filmed. In fact, its name is based on the northern lights. As for the sound, nature was used as the argument for designing how the electric motor sounds when driving.

CUPRA BORN IN LAPLAND
The sound is based on natural sounds such as the wind, the rubbing of stones, the creaking of wood and other elements found in nature. According to the engineers who developed it, the sound has metallic tones, but they are not cold or impersonal. A wood-based sound, warmer in character, has also been included, and a touch of copper has been added, which gives a brighter sound, according to CUPRA.
With these tests, the final details are wrapped up and drivers are set to enjoy the electric SUV, although, of course, they will never have to face these conditions in their lives.
