Daimler rewards its employees by celebrating 125 years of the automobile

Daimler AG will celebrate the 125th anniversary of the presentation of Carl Benz’s first patent, registering the first vehicle with a petrol engine. The anniversary is cause for celebration within Daimler, which will give each of its employees a cash bonus.
To this end, the German company has earmarked 125 million euros, to be shared among 260,000 employees. However, there are reports that the bonus could be even larger, with some mentioning a figure of 1,300 euros. But that is not all, as it is said that the Daimler workers’ union will grant another bonus of its own, this time of around 3,500 euros. Doesn’t it make you want to be a Daimler AG employee?
There are only two requirements to receive the money: being a Daimler employee (logically) and having worked for the German manufacturer for at least one year. In Germany, around 165,000 people work for Daimler, and the rest work at the various subsidiaries the company owns around the world, and all of them will receive the aforementioned bonus.
In addition to celebrating the anniversary of the invention of the automobile, employees will be rewarded for the levels of productivity and sales achieved in 2010, one of the best years in the company’s history.
