Dany Bahar suspended from his duties at Lotus
Dany Bahar has been suddenly suspended from his duties as CEO of Lotus, due to an investigation into the conduct of the executive of the English brand.

Apparently things were going well until today at Lotus, despite some worrying news from months ago suggesting that DRB-HICOM intended to look for a buyer for the brand and that the Malaysian government no longer wanted to have so much to do with Lotus. Although the volume of the rumours has been turned down, today a rather curious piece of news has come to light, one that highlights the state of affairs at Lotus.
It seems that Dany Bahar, the head of the brand, has been suspended from his duties following an investigation that DRB-HICOM will carry out regarding certain conduct by Bahar. It has not been specified whether these “conducts” have to do with his performance as CEO or could relate to matters from his private life that have affected the brand in some way, but the suspension has taken effect as of today.
The news has been amplified because today Bahar was due to attend a new sales centre for Lotus products in Monaco, an appointment he did not attend, giving notice of his absence at the last minute. The event has been more than striking for his fellow Lotus executives and for the media, who have asked DRB-HICOM to provide some update on the matter.
With Bahar suspended from his usual tasks, the management of Lotus has been left in the hands of the Malaysian executives of DRB-HICOM until some other news is announced regarding what will become of Bahar.
