De Tomaso's Pantera is set to roar again before the end of the year

And no, the SLC, Deauville (or whatever it ends up being called) was not exactly what we expected from the resurrection of the legendary De Tomaso. So that the Argentine-born constructor stops turning in his grave for much longer, the revitalised brand has announced that it will continue with its series of presentations, with the one everyone is most looking forward to: the Pantera.

The Pantera would be unveiled in November at the Los Angeles show, as became known in Geneva. For those of us who wanted to know more, the time has come to dig out our patience, since that is all that has been revealed so far, which is quite something given the secrecy surrounding this return of De Tomaso to the international scene after 40 years.

Following the path of the Pantera, the new De Tomaso management will keep its word in line with what they announced. In other words, after the fiasco comes the Pantera, before falling back into the shadows with a saloon (luxury, or high-performance), due to arrive in 2012.
