Detroit Show: the BMW Z4 gets a facelift

Only a few days remain until the Detroit Show, where we will kick off the year with the first show on the international circuit. And as one would expect, given the large share of its sales in the USA, BMW is one of the brands that has already begun to reveal its plans for the show. Among the models we will see is the update to the Z4, the M6 Gran Coupe, the 4 Series and some minor changes to the 1 Series.
Entering its eleventh year of life, the Z4 will introduce some changes, including a new entry-level engine. The previous four-cylinder, 240 hp engine of the North American sDrive28i variant will give way to a new 2-litre unit producing 156 hp, for the sDrive18i. This engine will come as standard with a six-speed manual gearbox.
The exterior changes are completed by new LED lighting in the front light clusters, three new body colours (Mineral Grey metallic, Glacier Silver and Valencia Orange), new 17- and 18-inch wheels and an M Sport sport package.
This updated Z4 will reach Spain, since we will have it in our market almost immediately after the Detroit Show. According to the information the brand has given us, it will make its debut in Spain in March 2013.
