Do you like the MINI John Cooper Works Convertible? In these images you can see it in detail

MINI is celebrating because it is about to launch the new MINI John Cooper Works Convertible, a car that will surprise us, because it keeps the spirit of every car in the brand but with important new features that make it a very pleasant car to drive and to look at. First, because it increases the capabilities of the model it replaces. And second, because seeing a convertible with these characteristics is always a real treat.
The convertible model has the same features as the standard model, including the 2.0-litre engine, which delivers 228 CV and a maximum torque of 320 Nm. If we compare, we can see that it has 20 CV more than the previous model, while the maximum torque is 60 Nm higher than that of its predecessor.
Looking at the engine’s capabilities, it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.6 seconds with the six-speed manual gearbox. If it is fitted with the automatic option, that time drops by a tenth, reaching 100 km/h in 6.5 seconds. Top speed is 240 km/h for the first and 241 km/h for the second.

The JCW treatment translates into very generous standard equipment, highlighting air conditioning, the MINI Boost radio with AUX and USB connectivity, parking distance assistance and 27-inch JCW wheels. Added to this are Brembo sport brakes and Servotronic power steering.
That covers the standard equipment, because optionally you can fit a long list of add-ons that enhance the capabilities of this interesting model. With the 18-inch wheels you can also include assisted parking, dual-zone air conditioning, a rear-view camera and JCW design elements.
You can see an extensive image gallery, so you get an idea of what you will find in this version of the MINI. What do you think?
