A6 Allroad Quattro Audi Family
Do you want an Audi S6 Allroad? Don't worry, ABT has one for you
ABT has wanted to play with the Audi A6 Allroad this time, a model that takes some touches from the S6 in order to offer better performance.
The automotive sector is extremely crowded, a fact that allows us to enjoy a wide variety of vehicles. However, it is easy to fantasise about a car that, no matter how loudly we demand it, manufacturers will never build. In these situations companies such as ABT come into play, ready to make our dreams come true. Now, the German tuner has decided to experiment with the Audi A6 Allroad in order to turn it into a true powerhouse of sportiness, in that S6 Allroad that many would have liked to see.
Given the characteristic sobriety of this variant of the German saloon, ABT has decided not to indulge too much in the aesthetic side. Nevertheless, the heart of the matter lies in the mechanical side, which stands out more than ever thanks to the modifications the firm applies to the A6 Allroad.
As far as design is concerned, ABT has simply opted for specific wheels for the A6 Allroad, offered in 20 and 21 inches. In addition, the cabin is also dressed with other details such as carbon fibre or ambient lights in the doors capable of projecting the ABT logo onto the floor. But it is the mechanical side that reflects the purpose of this preparation.

In total, three engines of the A6 Allroad will receive ABT’s upgrades: the 55 TFSI and the 50 and 55 TDI. In the first case, we find a supercharged turbo V6 capable of delivering 340 CV and 500 Nm of torque, figures that rise to 408 CV and 550 Nm of torque thanks to the tuning work courtesy of the German tuner. In the case of the diesels, the 55 TDI variant now produces 384 CV and 760 Nm of torque, while the most modest, the 50 TDI, “settles” for 330 CV and 660 Nm of torque.
This is how ABT manages to widen the range of options of the A6 lineup, a model that gains versions that could easily pass for those hypothetical S6 and S6 TDI Allroad. It is true that in terms of dynamics the German tuner has not made any changes, but the substantial mechanical improvements provide performance more befitting an S model from the house of the four rings.

Either way, ABT continues to play with the offspring of the Audi, offspring that become plausible options for those customers who want a little more but are not willing to face the outlay that the S and RS models imply.
