The Dodge Dart SRT4 with 300 hp

In recent hours we have heard about some special models of the Dodge Dart, but here is the father of all the others: the SRT4. The arrival of this SRT version is going to add the necessary spice to a car that has already received plenty of praise from Chrysler and from Fiat itself.

And precisely Fiat will have a great collaboration with this Dart, since at the very least it will give Chrysler the use of the six-speed dual-clutch gearbox of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta Cloverleaf. However, besides the fact that the Dart is a first cousin of the Giulietta, the collaboration would stop right there for a good reason: the Alfa engine is not enough for the Dart SRT4

With rivals on the horizon of the stature of the Ford Focus ST, the competition the SRT4 can offer will have to go beyond the 1.7-litre Alfa engine. The SRT4 should reach 300 hp, according to Ralph Gilles, so they are already thinking about how to boost its two-litre engine, whether with turbos or with some tuning.

According to the first indications, the SRT4 will not be cheap, as it would be priced almost on a par with the Volkswagen Golf or the Subaru WRX STI in final price.
