It has been 25 years since the Ducati Monster 1200 arrived, and the Italian brand has wanted to mark the date in red on the calendar. To do so, they have gotten to work and decided to create a new and spectacular version that brings this now-classic model into the 21st century. It is a bike that has managed to sell around 325,000 units over its lifetime, without being especially eye-catching, powerful or well equipped. One of those models that, thanks to its own image and character, has become one of the most popular choices among enthusiasts of sporty-looking naked bikes.

The first detail that catches the eye is the exterior livery, which uses the Italian flag to capture the essence of an Italian bike with class and tradition. The embroidered logo on the seat marks the 25th anniversary, and the chassis shows the numbering of each unit. Because this model is quite exclusive, since only 500 units of this commemorative version will be built.

It also features aluminium and carbon fibre elements, which enhance its look and its intention to stand out from other similar bikes on the market. The mirrors, the rear number plate holder, the clutch and brake levers, the handlebar and other components have been updated, giving it a more current and modern image. The golden Marchesini wheels also help enhance that exclusive look, and everything about it makes you feel it is something different and original, even though it is a model with 25 years behind it.

Öhlins supplies the adjustable fork at the front, the rear monoshock and the steering damper. Braking has been improved thanks to BREMBO brakes with 330 mm discs at the front and 245 mm at the rear, with Brembo M50 monobloc calipers. The rest of the model remains the same as the other versions, which is already plenty to enjoy a motorcycle that gains a great deal with this edition.

The Ducati Monster 1200 25 Anniversario will reach the European market in September, and enthusiasts of this type of bike in other parts of the world will have to wait quite a while to get this motorcycle in their markets.
