When the upcoming Geneva Motor Show 2016 arrives, in just a few days, we will see several cars that combine the concepts of the automotive world and fashion. One of those vehicles, which brings together design innovation and automotive engineering functionality, will be the Citroën E-Mehari, the electric model from the French brand that revives the spirit of the famous model, but with the style offered by Courrèges, a well-known fashion house.

The common ground linking these two companies is the youthful spirit and sense of freedom that both the fashion company’s creations and Citroën bring. Taking advantage of the return of Citroën’s popular model in the form of an electric vehicle, they have joined their creative styles and dressed a concept car in Courrèges’ style, turning it into a genuinely interesting car.

The leading color of the Citroën E-Mehari styled by Courrèges is white, and the aesthetic design has been developed around this tone, resulting in an original, youthful and attractive look. The bodywork wears that color, but the interior is also upholstered in leather of the same color, which blends perfectly with the exterior. The only contrast is an orange trim that provides the necessary contrast to create a different and unique appearance.

The bodywork modifications have been minimal, and the removal of the rear arch stands out, a space that has been used to add two seat belts and gain some room. In the cabin, the orange color also stands out, which is present on the bodywork, adding color to the whole.

The features of this concept model are the same as those of the basic model, so it has the same battery offering a range of 200 km in urban cycle, while also providing a top speed of 110 km/h. This E-Mehari will give nostalgic fans the chance to have an update of the legendary model, and new generations the chance to recover that sense of freedom the original Mehari offered. Yes, with style.
