Electric Cars Pick-up Salón de Barcelona
Ebro is now a reality: it is unveiled in Barcelona and promises 50,000 units a year
Ebro’s work vehicle, fully electric, has been presented at the Barcelona Show, and it has been announced that production will begin next year.

Barcelona will be the place where the brand Ebro is unveiled, a true classic of the Spanish automotive industry that has been revived and is set to launch an electric pick-up. It promises to become one of the most interesting vehicles in the Spanish industry and one of the most attractive in our country.
At Automobile Barcelona, the presentation took place as part of the event’s opening day. It featured the presence of the popular adventurer and television presenter Jesús Calleja, a figure the brand chose to join the proposal as its ambassador, reflecting the brand’s strength in adventure and the outdoors.

From the Dakar to series production
Ebro’s pick-up is based on the model the brand designed to take part in the 2022 Dakar Rally, one of the most demanding in the world. The Dakar SxS is a lightweight off-roader with which the brand ventured into the Dakar, and it has served to develop the pick-up presented in Barcelona.
The rally prototype delivers a power output of 150 kW, equivalent to 201 CV, and a maximum torque of 390 Nm. Its batteries offer a range of 200 kilometres. This meant that at each stage of the rally the batteries had to be swapped for fully charged ones to complete the course.

EBRO PICK-UP
The first model series-produced by Ebro is a vehicle with dimensions of 5,218 millimetres in length, a width of 1,848 millimetres and a height of 1,785 millimetres. This allows it to comfortably seat five passengers. At the rear it will feature a practical platform for daily work in the countryside and other sectors.
The battery that supplies energy to the electric motor uses lithium-ion cells. It offers a capacity of 100 kWh and gives it a range of 440 kilometres. Ebro’s pick-up has two electric motors that together deliver 220 kW, equivalent to 290 CV. It can operate with rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.
Manufacturing will begin in the fourth quarter of 2024 at the factory that Nissan managed in the Zona Franca of Barcelona, and will allow more than 1,000 of its jobs to be recovered, along with other indirect positions. The brand is returning after its disappearance in 1987 and has been revived by a consortium of companies made up of Jaton Racing, Api Brothers, BTech and Nexus Projectes, all of them Spanish.
Ebro intends to manufacture around 50,000 units a year, across different models. This is expected to be achieved by 2027, so soon we will once again have the legendary Spanish brand back on the road.
