Elaris Finn, this is the electric city car that Lidl sells in Germany

Traditional car sales points are dealerships, but as time goes by, we also find that cars are sold in more and more places. Large retail outlets are opening up to vehicle sales and are alternatives to these traditional points. The Lidl chain is beginning to introduce electric cars into its range.

The supermarkets in Germany belonging to this retail chain are offering their customers a small city car, the Elaris Finn. It is a Chinese-made electric city car sold in its stores. It is small, light and quite attractive for urban mobility.

It weighs 960 kg and measures 2.87 metres in length, and has seating for two people. The battery is 32 kWh, which gives a range of 265 kilometres. The motor produces 35 kW, equivalent to 48 CV. With this equipment it has a top speed of 115 km/h, and its battery can charge at up to 30 kW. A full charge takes one hour, although with a domestic plug the charge takes five hours.

This car is slightly smaller than a Dacia Spring, although it is slightly more expensive. Its boot offers a capacity of 229 litres, which makes it a very suitable car for getting around the city in an electric vehicle without excessive pretensions, but very practical.

The equipment includes features such as two digital screens, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. It also has a rear-view camera, and occupants will be comfortable thanks to the air conditioning.

Lidl has offered other electric vehicles in its supermarkets on other occasions, in collaboration with several companies that have acted as distributors. In the case of the Elaris Finn, the purchase price is 20,330 euros, while there is a renting option with a monthly fee of 220 euros for one year.
