Toyota GR86 RZ 10th Anniversary, a limited edition for Japan
The Japanese manufacturer has unveiled a special edition of the Toyota GR86, with an orange body and a limited release, for Japan only.

Round anniversaries are important, and vehicles reaching these special milestones usually receive a special edition to celebrate them. In the case of the Toyota GR86 RZ, a limited edition has been created to celebrate the first ten years of the model in style.
The special edition features an orange livery, eye-catching and spectacular, so that it stands out from any other version of the model. That same colour appears inside the car, on the seat upholstery stitching and at other highlighted points of the cabin. The embroidery with the model name on the doors is also in the same colour and is very striking.

Under the bonnet is the same engine we already know. This is a 2.4-litre naturally aspirated unit capable of delivering 232 CV and a maximum torque of 250 Nm. It is the same powertrain fitted to the Toyota GR86 with JDM specifications, so on this point it matches that version.

TOYOTA GR86 RZ 10TH ANNIVERSARY
Power reaches the rear axle through either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic gearbox. Although this is a special edition, Toyota has not said how many units will be built, reserving that figure for another occasion. Reservations can already be made in Japan, with a starting price equivalent to 25,400 euros for the manual gearbox model and 26,600 euros for the one fitted with the automatic gearbox.
Alongside this model, the 10th anniversary version of the Subaru BRZ has also been presented. In the case of this twin model, which shares the same engine and equipment as the Toyota GR86 RZ, the company has confirmed that 200 units will be built, and they will go on sale at a slightly higher price than the Toyota model. To tell them apart, besides the badge, a striking blue body colour has been chosen, which serves as the theme for the interior trim.
