Electric Brands XBUS, the compact electric camper that will surprise you
This vehicle is small, compact and electric, but that does not mean it will lack comforts and everything needed for leisure time.

While the SUV body style has been considerably successful among passenger cars, when we look at vans, it is rare for them not to have a camper version. And it is not unusual for electric vehicles to be moving into this segment too. A proof of this is the Electric Brands XBUS, which has unveiled a small-sized camper version that will surprise you.
This electric van, from a German company, measures 3.94 metres in length, 1.63 metres in width and 1.93 metres in height, so it may look small. But although it is not very large, it is equipped to offer all the comforts needed for a motorhome getaway.

Ready for leisure time
One of its features is that it has a ground clearance of 20 centimetres, so it can drive over difficult terrain. It also has all-wheel drive, which helps it reach destinations off the road.
To make the most of the interior space, several fold-out areas have been fitted to provide more room. The pop-up roof and the extendable rear section make it much more liveable than it appears. It includes a kitchen, sink and fridge, along with optional extras such as air conditioning, a parking camera, an 11 kW fast charger, or the additional battery pack.
Range and engine
This van converted into a motorhome uses an engine that delivers 56 kW of power, equivalent to 75 CV. As for the battery, it has a capacity of 10 kWh, giving it a range of 200 kilometres. Optionally, an additional battery pack can be fitted, increasing capacity to 30 kWh. This way, it reaches a range of 500 kilometres.
To charge the battery, it includes a low-power system of up to 3.6 kW. With this, it can go from 10 to 80% in about three hours, although it can also use the 11 kW charger offered as an option.
