Just in case we weren’t happy with the 135 CV of the Fiat 500 Abarth, a power increase for its 1.4 T-Jet turbo petrol engine has been announced, divided into two Stages. The Stage I brings a small increase up to 163 CV and 251 Nm of torque through some minor modifications.

Meanwhile, the Stage II raises output to 200 CV, thanks to a reprogrammed ECU, a sports exhaust and a new turbo, among other things. Although there is no official data on its acceleration or top speed, the figures could be outstanding.

However, the modifications to the Fiat 500 Abarth are not limited to more power, as they also include new 17-inch alloy wheels in aluminium with a red finish. In addition, a lowered and firmer suspension which means greater grip on the road, necessary if you want to make the most of it.

As for the price of these upgrades, in the case of Stage I it is set at around 950 euros, while reaching 200 CV requires paying 5,050 euros. So, if we take into account that the 500 Abarth in Spain starts at around 18,810 euros, adding Stage II gives us a 200-horsepower car for 23,860 euros, making it cheaper than a Mini Cooper S John Cooper Works, which costs almost 31,000 euros.
