Fiat updates the Panda with greater connectivity
Fiat Panda
There are not many changes compared with the previous model, but what Fiat brings to the Panda for 2017 is more infotainment and connectivity systems. The Fiat Panda continues to maintain its main hallmarks: functionality and simplicity. The changes apply to the entire range, that is, to the most urban-focused model, the 4×4 and the Cross version.
This iconic model, with three very different trims built on a single base, able to meet the needs of any potential customer with its complete range, keeps the same size: 3.65 metres long, 1.64 metres wide and 1.55 metres high. Two body colours are added (Rosso Amore pastel and Grigio Colosseo metallic) and two new wheel designs. These exclusive wheels are available in 15″ with a silver finish, optional on Lounge, and a matt finish, standard on the 4×4 version.
Inside, despite its small exterior dimensions, the interior space is adequate to seat five passengers. It offers a 225-litre boot, expandable to 870 litres. The Fiat Panda offers great versatility of use with its modular space, several storage compartments and different front and rear seat configurations.

The steering wheel features a double centre spoke available in two finishes matching the dashboard and seat upholstery. In the Pop and Easy trim levels, the centre spoke details are silver. The Easy version offers, on request, leather radio and steering wheel controls, which come as standard on the Lounge version. The 4×4 comes with a leather-wrapped steering wheel, integrated controls and a titanium finish, which becomes silver on the Cross version.
The instrument cluster graphics have also been redesigned to improve legibility thanks to a more modern design. The seat fabrics have also been renewed with new graphics and colours for all trim levels. In addition, contrast stitching has been added. The Easy and Lounge versions feature geometric elements.
The entire Panda engine range complies with Euro 6 regulations. The wide range available is as follows: a 1.2-litre petrol engine with 69 CV, also used in the dual-fuel petrol and LPG version, the 0.9-litre TwinAir two-cylinder petrol engine with three power levels: 69, 85 and 90 CV, the petrol and methane version with 80 CV, and the 95 CV Multijet turbo diesel version.

The biggest novelty of this model lies in the new connectivity systems, expanding an already complete equipment list. The Easy trim comes standard with radio and manual air conditioning. The standard equipment of the Lounge, 4×4 and Cross versions includes the new UconnectTM infotainment system, compatible with the phone and the dedicated “Panda Uconnect” app for iOS and Android. The Uconnect radio includes Bluetooth 2.1 audio streaming, a USB port located in the glovebox, a voice recognition system, a USB charging port (located on the dashboard), an AUX port (located in the glovebox), MP3 support, and the “Panda Uconnect” interface via Bluetooth.
It also offers services such as Find myCar, to remember where the vehicle has been parked, eco:Drive, which gives the driver recommendations for a more eco-friendly driving style, Find Workshop, to locate the nearest Fiat workshop, and my:Car, to keep the vehicle’s main parameters under control, such as scheduled servicing and key items from the Owner’s and Maintenance Manual, as well as direct calls to roadside assistance or Fiat customer service.
