Leaked! The DS3 Crossback shows up ahead of schedule
The DS3 Crossback will be unveiled at the next Paris Motor Show, but we already have a rough idea of what it will look like.
The DS3 Crossback will be the French maker’s next entry in the popular city SUV segment. This model will compete with rivals such as the Audi Q2 and the Mini Countryman, and it will be one of the few in its class to offer electrified versions. The car will be officially presented at the Paris Motor Show, but leaked images already show the look it is going to adopt for this interesting premium-focused crossover.
Design inherited from the DS7 Crossback

The images show the design of the smallest SUV in the DS range. As we can see, the design language of its bigger brother, the DS7 Crossback, has been carried over to this crossover. At the front we find a hexagonal-shaped grille and headlights accompanied by a rounded strip of LEDs that act as daytime running lights.

On the sides, the design of the rear doors stands out in particular, as the bodywork extends towards the windows, forming a silhouette similar to a shark’s fin. In addition, the black-finished pillars allow the roof to have an attractive floating design.

At the rear we find more curved and cleaner lines, accompanied by a set of slim lights surrounded by a chrome line. We can also see a dual exhaust outlet, probably reserved for the more performance-oriented versions of the DS3 Crossback.
Engines: an electric version will be offered
As for the engine range, although there is still no official confirmation, the DS3 Crossback is expected to receive a new batch of 1.2 Puretech petrol engines, along with the veteran 1.6 THP. The diesel range could consist of the 1.5 BlueHDI unit. But without a doubt, the great novelty of this model from a mechanical standpoint will be the 100% electric version, which will have a range of around 450 km. We will see what capacity the battery of this version ends up offering, as that will determine whether the announced range is more or less reliable.
