First images of the 2011 Chevrolet Aveo from Detroit

Taking advantage of the Detroit Show, Chevrolet has unveiled the new Aveo in its four-door and five-door versions (in the USA it is called the Sonic), and it will reach the market this very summer to replace the current model. Besides its exterior design, there is a new range of engines that will include diesel powerplants.
In the Old Continent, the Aveo will be available with petrol engines of 70, 86, 100 and 115 CV, while for the first time it will be possible to choose two diesel engines of 75 and 95 CV (surely the well-known 1.3 CDTI). For the USA there will be the powerful 1.4 Turbo engine of 140 CV, the same as in the Astra.

The exterior design keeps the lines of the Aveo RS concept that the brand previewed early this year, with a sporty design and an interior with new materials and more equipment than the current Aveo. Inside, it follows the design line of the Spark, with a speedometer that winks at the world of motorcycles and an integrated sound system that includes Bluetooth or a USB port, among other features.
For the moment we do not have more data, but we leave you with the gallery and the videos of the different Aveos, both in the five-door version and in its saloon version, which will stand out for having a larger boot.
