Fiat has released the first official images of the new 500L. They give us a look at its overall appearance following the first “shots” of the Italian MPV which, as has been reported over these past few days, will come with a five-door version and a longer body to improve interior roominess.

Initially, it will measure 4.15 metres in length. In addition, in mid-year –no date has been confirmed– a seven-seat version will arrive, which will be slightly longer, measuring 4.25 metres.

As for engines, the range will initially start with five, three petrol units: the 85 CV TwinAir and the 1.4 in 77 and 105 CV versions. On the diesel side, buyers will be able to choose between the 75 or 95 CV 1.3 Multijet.

Fiat seems to be in a celebratory mood these days. This new model is expected to receive a warm welcome, much like the new Fiat Panda, which broke the sales record in a single weekend.
