For ABC, the car of the year in Spain is the Hyundai ix35

The Hyundai ix35 has been chosen as Car of the Year in Spain, in a vote conducted by the newspaper ABC. This is the first SUV to win this award and one more star for Hyundai., adding to the many it has earned in recent months in terms of sales, models and awards received.
The ix35 earned the highest score with 201 votes, out of a possible maximum of 260 points, beating the Opel Meriva, with 41 votes, followed by the Citroën C3, with 36 votes. It is worth recalling that the Korean vehicle had already been among the finalists for European Car of the Year.
Of the models sold in Spain, Hyundai offers the possibility of choosing seven engine options, two petrol and the rest turbodiesel, starting from a price of 21,000 euros. According to the jury that conducted the vote, one of its strong points is the improvement in build quality, which allows the vehicle to come with a five-year warranty.
And it is no coincidence that Hyundai is in the spotlight with so many models. Although it takes some getting used to (for those “purists” who never look beyond German, American or Japanese cars), I suspect Hyundai will be one of the heavyweights of 2011, and this is only the beginning.
