Charge Automotive presents the Ford Mustang EV at the Goodwood Festival. 499 units will be manufactured, with a price from 335,000 euros.
Reservations for the Ford Electric Mustang can already be made on the Charge Automotive website. To do so, a deposit of 5,000 pounds, around 5,590 euros at the current exchange rate, is required.
The all-electric version of the legendary American sports car from the 1960s will make its official debut at the upcoming Goodwood Festival of Speed, and the first customers are expected to receive their cars in September.

Some of the details of Charge Automotive’s electric Mustang were already known. Now, it is confirmed that 499 units will be built, with prices starting from 300,000 pounds, around 335,000 euros.
A 1960s Mustang that doesn’t burn gasoline?
Anyone who thinks a 1960s Mustang is not worthy of its name without a powerful V8 under the hood should stop reading here. For the rest, it is clear that its creators have not beaten around the bush.
The electric motor of this Mustang EV, whose powertrain comes from the specialists at Arrival, delivers 350 kW (4765 CV) and…. 1,200 Nm of maximum torque!! Its “roar” produced by synthesized sound may not be as natural as that of a V8 burning gasoline. But with such thrust, what is clear is that the Mustang EV is a true machine for leaving rubber on the asphalt.

Charge Automotive claims that its Mustang EV is capable of accelerating from 0 to 60 km/h in just 4 seconds, with a top speed limited to 240 km/h. Thanks to batteries with a 64 kWh capacity, a range of 320 km is announced, although compatibility with fast-charging points is only possible at 50 kW.
Electric classics
This Ford Mustang EV is not the only classic sports car to get electrification. Recall that Aston Martin offers an electric propulsion conversion for the DB6 Volante, while Jaguar does the same with the Jaguar E-Type EV.
If a Mustang with a rear end where you won’t find any exhaust outlets has piqued your curiosity, you can watch it in a video here:
