Ford Escort RS Cosworth, Ken Block's new beast for the Gymkhanas
Long Beach driver Ken Block has unveiled the vehicle he will use for his next Gymkhana: a 1991 Ford Escort RS Cosworth.

Not even a month has passed since Ken Block amazed the entire world with his latest and most spectacular Gymkhana to date, a brutal ascent of the legendary Pikes Peak hill climb. Now the driver reveals his next combat beast: a Ford Escort RS Cosworth. The Long Beach driver will run his next Gymkhana in a true rally legend.
It should be remembered that the Ford Escort RS Cosworth was one of the standout models of the World Rally Championship Group A, and Ken Block will modify it to the limit to turn it into a true drifting monster. For now, the vehicle features a two-litre turbocharged engine derived from the WRC that produces 400 CV, and also includes a seven-speed sequential gearbox.
As we said, Ken Block’s new beast will receive several adjustments designed to make drifting easier for the American driver. The fitting of several intelligent differentials is virtually guaranteed, along with a spectacular anti-lag system that keeps the turbo spinning at all times, a feature that emits a really striking whoosh that the audience will surely appreciate.
To introduce his new war companion, Ken Block has published a video explaining the mechanics hidden inside it, and of course, performing the necessary donuts to raise a mountain of smoke.
