Ford Fiesta ST Line Red and Black Edition: a more aggressive look for the city car

The Ford Fiesta ST-Line comes in two special editions: Red and Black Edition.

The Ford Fiesta has received two special editions, the ST Line Red Edition and Black Edition. These two variants, based on the ST-Line range, are available from 21,195 EUR and feature several design changes that further emphasise the sporty look of this range. The Red and Black editions come as standard with a 1.0-litre, 140 CV EcoBoost petrol engine and the sport suspension typical of the ST-Line trim.

Ford Fiesta ST-Line: one fifth of the city car’s sales

In 2018 the Ford Fiesta ST-Line accounted for almost one fifth of the American city car’s sales. For this reason, Ford has decided to launch two special editions with the aim of boosting even further the appeal of this highly successful range.

“The striking style of our new Fiesta ST-Line Red Edition and Black Edition models emphasises the dynamic character of the Fiesta and lets the driver’s personality shine through. Premium vehicles, including the ST-Line models, accounted for 70% of our passenger car sales in Europe in August, and we are seeing more and more that customers want the cars they drive to ‘speak’ for them,” says Amko Leenarts, Design Director of Ford Europe.

More sporty design: contrast stripes and other details

The new Fiesta ST-Line Red and Black Edition are available with three-door and five-door bodies. As you may have imagined, the Red Edition features a Race Red exterior colour with matt black stripes and gloss black trim running from the roof, across the bonnet to the lower edge of the front spoiler. The Fiesta ST-Line Black Edition, meanwhile, has a Panther Black exterior and matt black stripes with gloss red edging.

Both special editions feature a large rear spoiler finished in the body colour, 17-inch Panther Black alloy wheels with red edging, and mirror caps in black, split in two by a horizontal red stripe. These variants also include halogen headlamps with automatic lighting, LED daytime running lights at both front and rear, and fog lamps with static cornering light.

Interior with red details

The interior retains the contrasting colours. Red details are used for the sport seats trimmed in leather, the door handles, the central ventilation panel and the passenger-side trim. Red thread stitching accents the flat-bottomed leather steering wheel, the gear lever gaiter, the handbrake lever and gaiter, the floor mats and the door interiors.

The new Ford Fiesta ST-Line Red Edition and Black Edition offer a comprehensive range of active safety features. Both include the following systems:

• Pre-collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection
• Traffic Sign Recognition
• Adaptive Cruise Control
• Blind Spot Information System (BLIS).

1.0-litre 140 CV EcoBoost engine

The special editions of the Ford Fiesta ST-Line feature the 1.0-litre, 140 CV three-cylinder EcoBoost petrol engine. This engine is paired with a six-speed manual gearbox, achieving an official consumption of 4.9 l/100 km.
