The SEAT León ST Cupra Black Carbon will also arrive in Spain, but with just 100 units
SEAT has just announced the arrival of the León ST Cupra Black Carbon on the Spanish market, a special edition of which only 100 units will be built.

Sporty compacts have allowed manufacturers to develop numerous variants based on them, giving rise to other types of vehicles but with the corresponding level of performance. This has happened with the SEAT León Cupra, a model that still remains under the veil of the Spanish brand but could break away in its next generation to enter the heart of the Cupra family. But today we are not going to anticipate events; instead, we will talk about the Black Carbon edition, which sits on the León ST Cupra with the aim of highlighting both its sportiness and its exclusivity.
A few months ago, we told you that this variant would only be available in the United Kingdom, but SEAT has wanted to stay true to its roots and has decided to treat its home country to this special edition. The Spanish brand has also taken the opportunity to improve various aspects of this sporty estate, which align even more closely with the philosophy represented by the León ST Cupra.
As the name of this special edition suggests, SEAT has turned to carbon fibre to bring its most radical estate to life. This exclusive material has been applied to various components of the León ST Cupra, providing not only a significant weight reduction but also a more sporty and aggressive look. The rear and front diffusers and the side skirts have been the parts selected to receive the carbon fibre, with the aim of accentuating the styling and improving the performance of the most exclusive León ST to date.

To keep that harmonious ensemble that evokes sportiness intact, SEAT has opted for Midnight Black paint, a shade that fits perfectly with the spirit of the Black Carbon version. However, the Spanish brand has wanted to go even further with the creation of this special edition, as it will be limited to 100 units, so only a select few will have access to this new variant of the SEAT estate.
As far as the mechanical side is concerned, there are no changes, which means the León ST Cupra will continue to offer the same level of performance. To do so, the Spanish estate relies on the well-known 2.0 TSI four-cylinder engine capable of producing 300 CV of power and 380 Nm of torque, figures that are directly linked to the 4Drive all-wheel-drive system and the six-speed DSG automatic gearbox. However, this does not mean the León ST Cupra Black Carbon is not quick; on the contrary, the SEAT estate claims a 0 to 100 time of just 4.9 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h. Furthermore, the sportiness has also been enhanced thanks to the new Cupra Sound exhaust system, which has become the conductor of the Black Carbon’s orchestra.

At the same time, the Spanish estate has undergone an intensive diet, which has allowed it to shed weight down to 1,525 kilos, a fairly restrained figure considering the dimensions and size of the SEAT León in its ST estate body. To improve the performance of the Black Carbon, SEAT has also included the Performance Pack, which offers specific 19″ wheels, oversized brake discs and calipers signed by Brembo. Technology and innovation have also been two points the brand wanted to highlight in this special edition, which is why the León ST Cupra Black Carbon also features the innovative Virtual Cockpit, a system the brand has had for a relatively short time.
Without a doubt, this special edition presents itself as an ideal opportunity for those customers most loyal to the brand who want to get their hands on a unique model, but to do so, they will have to pay 50,700 euros, the starting price of each and every one of the 100 units that will be produced of the León ST Cupra Black Carbon.
